Baptism
Here at St. Paul's on-the-Hill, we believe that Baptism is an important part in the Journey of Faith. It is an important Sacrament which signifies an outward sign of an inward change.
We offer Infant, Child, and Adult Baptism.

Infant Baptism
These days the decision to baptize your child is an especially important statement about your faith and values and probably involved a prayerful family discussion.
Baptism is an affirmation of your commitment to know and follow Jesus in our personal and family lives, as well as in the community. It is not just a right of passage in life, it is the beginning of a Journey of Faith.
The Journey Program
This program is a part of our process to help parents and their extended families grow in their own walk with God, and equip them to live out their faith in their home and community. As the sub-title implies, we hope it will be seen as a series of small steps in a life-long journey.
We don’t see baptism as the beginning, and especially not the end of that journey. Baptism is an outward sign of God’s grace on our lives and a seal upon our commitment to glorify God, the Father, through Jesus, our Saviour, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
It is evolving because we constantly learn from the experiences of our Kids and Youth leaders, other churches, and especially from parents in our efforts to equip each other for successful Christian living in a confusing and complex world.
Adult Baptism
We are particularly excited when an adult asks to be baptized because it is usually as a result of a meaningful encounter with Jesus. In several places in the Book of Acts, those who come to faith in Christ are baptized as a seal upon their commitment. (Acts 2:37-39, 8:12, 9:1-18, 10:47-48, and others)
