Children’s Ministry 

 

Who We Are

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." — Matthew 19:14

​

At SPOTH Kids, we treasure every child as a precious gift from God. Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can experience God’s love, grow in their faith, and develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. We seek to equip and empower them as young disciples who love God, serve others, and make an impact in their families, schools, communities, and the world.

Our Sunday School

One of the main ways we live out this mission is through our Sunday School. Each Sunday at 10 a.m., our team of dedicated teachers and volunteers serves children from babies through Grade 9.

We begin with a time of worship and praise together before moving into classrooms, giving children the opportunity to learn and practice worship and prayer in community.

  • Babies to JK: Cared for by our staff member Yora and teachers on duty, children enjoy play, games, Bible stories, music, and a light snack.

  • SK to Grade 5: Children learn, grow, and have fun with our teachers using the Growing in God’s Love curriculum. Parents receive weekly updates and resources to help continue faith conversations at home.

 

We aim to help children deepen their understanding of God’s Word, gain knowledge of who God is, and apply their faith in daily life.

Special Events

In addition to our regular Sunday School, we host special events throughout the year. These include celebrations of the church seasons (Christmas, Lent, Easter, etc.) as well as family-centered activities like Family Planting Day and other fun gatherings. These events help children and families grow in faith, build community, and create joyful memories together.

​Family Communion

On the fourth Sunday of each month, children of all ages join the congregation for Communion. Teachers escort the children upstairs to partake in this sacred meal.

​​

​Family Service

On the fifth Sunday of the month, children ages 6–12 worship with their parents during the Family Service.

​

Snacks

Our snacks are nut-free. Please advise the teacher of any allergies if you are new to SPOTH Kids.

We kindly ask parents to complete a Registration, Permission, and Consent Form for our records.
