Jesus asks all believers
to share the faith with others (evangelism) and to care for the poor (outreach).
These two activities are priorities for us at St. Paul’s. In addition
to what you may undertake as an individual, there are some special projects
we undertake as a congregation.
The attached
is a written reflection from one of the youth who went to Guatemala this
summer.
- Within Pickering
and the Greater Toronto Area, the congregation of St. Paul’s is
actively involved in a wide variety of local outreach
programs.
- Internationally,
St. Paul’s supports missionaries
in the field involved in the Lord’s work in the Philippines,
Guatemala, Mexico, Haiti, and Kenya
- Missions are a
key part of the St. Paul’s experience and for the past few years,
we have sent out teams to different
countries including Mexico, Guatemala and Belize.

- St. Paul's has
long had connections with the church and people in Africa. A new mission
planned for the summer of 2007 is part of call to Kenya.
- For those staying
unable to travel overseas, there is lots you can do to help the mission.
- pray for the
team
- financially
support them, or the "container" that will be sent ahead
of the team with items needed by the churches of Bungoma and Niarobi
-
Donate
old (but servicable) bicycles for the container. Pastors and others
who need to get around are in dire need of robust bikes for which
replacement parts are not too difficult to find.

Mission and outreach is a local and world wide opportunity to
share the love of God with those around us.
